HOW THE TEACHER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM WORKS
The SING WITH POWER® VOICE Teacher Certification program helps both brand new teachers, as well as experienced voice teachers become extremely effective, successful, legitimately certified teachers.
The program guides teachers to give their students the technical ability to sing with terrific range, power, freedom and control, in any style, all with “connected” voices that won't “break” at any point in the range.

The Designation
There are many voice teachers out there. How does one decide who to take lessons from? What qualifications does the teacher have? These are two of the most common questions potential voice students have when seeking a vocal instructor / vocal coach. Though there are many voice teachers teaching, the reality is that almost NONE of them every trained to teach voice. They took lessons themselves, and maybe even received a degree in vocal performance, but they were never taught how to identify and correct the vocal imbalances of others. As a result, there is a learning curve that takes years for these teachers, if they ever learn to teach well at all.
When people see that a voice coach or teacher has taken the time to actually intensely study vocal instruction, so much so that they have received a professional vocal teaching certification, they know that they are studying with someone who takes the study of vocal instruction very seriously. They can trust that the instructor has pursued a higher standard than simply studying lessons for personal application and then hoping they can help others. The designation of Certified Voice Teacher (and this is true in just about any field of study) demonstrates to prospective singing students a commitment one has to teaching excellence.

The Cost
You will pay relatively little for the certification process, and you won't need a college degree to be a highly effective teacher. The average college graduate who makes about $50,000 per year, paid an average cost of $38,600 for that degree. What about voice teachers? For about the same cost of one semester at a community college, as a Certified Private Voice Teacher, you can make that same $50,000 per year teaching only 20 hours per week!
It is actually Eric's goal to have your new students paying for the certification process for you, even if you have no students to start with. Believe it or not, even before your certification is completed you will start teaching some beginner level lessons, effectively covering the cost of the certification for you. In fact, just teaching a couple of lessons a week can pay for the entire certification process. He wants to make the program as accessible to prospective voice teachers as possible.
The bottom line on cost is that you will be responsible for 10 hours of lesson time, and that's it! Contact us for current lesson prices. The price of just one lesson gets you started! The Process
The process of becoming a Certified Voice Teacher isn't a complicated or expensive one.
To start the program, a prospective student simply set up an initial private teacher lesson with Eric Bruner. The very first teacher lesson with Eric will begin a process of voice teacher training that includes 10 hours of personal, 1-on-1 training with Eric, nearly two dozen hours of audio and video vocal training, and over three hours of training on setting up, marketing and running your private music lesson business.
Each of the lessons with Eric is recorded so you have all of the sessions to study and review in the future. You pay for each certification lesson as you go along, paying for just one lesson at a time rather having to pay for an entire program all at once. The certification program can be spread out over as much time as you want or need. There's no rush!
A syllabus guides you through program which will include 10 private 1-on-1 training sessions with Eric on focused lesson topics, over 24 hours of audio and video training, personal practice session assignments, incremental business building projects, and your own private teaching assignments.
After the completion of the program, you will receive a framable certificate to hang on your studio wall to show your students that you've taken your teaching education seriously, and have been successful in completing this comprehensive voice teacher training program.

3 Levels
THE 3 LEVELS
There are 3 Sing With Power Voice Teacher Certification levels. The initial certification level is the level 1 instructor. Once you have attained this first level, you are a fully certified teacher with all of its benefits and you are not required to pursue levels 2 or 3 to remain certified.
So why pursue the 2nd and 3rd levels of certification?
The higher levels of certification delve much deeper into a variety of advanced teacher training, making you an even more highly skilled, more effective teacher.
The 2nd and 3rd level teaching programs each take half the time and cost as the 1st level certification, making them easier to attain than your initial certificate, yet much more knowledgeable and advanced in your teaching ability.

Level 1 Certified Teachers are typically early career teachers who have successfully developed their own voices. They have learned the principles that will allow them to help students down the path to a healthier, more confident use of the singing voice.
Potential Income Rate / Range: $20,000 - $80,000 per year ($40-$60+ per hr teaching 10-40 hrs per week), but you aren't limited by these example hourly teaching rates! Typical time to attain First Level Certification: 10-24 weeks Want to move faster? Ask Eric how!

Responsibilities to attain Level 1 Certified Teacher:
- You complete 10 hours of private instruction with Eric in learning and teaching this technique.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the program material through verbal assessment.
- You've taught 10 hrs of voice lessons (We'll help you with that)
- You've had Eric Bruner observe you teach at least 3 different students
- You've watched an additional 3 hours of observing Eric teaching lessons (live or video).
- You can play the 12 basic chords on the piano for leading students in exercises (this is covered in the program and is very easy).
Level 1 Certified Teacher Benefits:
- Training in the vocal teaching methods to make you one of the most sought-after teachers in your area.
- Help in “kick-starting” your studio with no financial risk to you, helping you expand your studio teaching schedule, allowing you to help singers attain their goals, while you earn a great income!
- Licensing rights for the Sing With Power Complete Vocal Training Program and other Sing With Power vocal training products, allowing you to provide it for your students at a discounted price.
- Allowing you retain your autonomy as an independent teacher, or, in other words, the freedom to run your teaching studio, your way!
- Access to ongoing student referrals via company contacts, Master Teacher personal appearances, and company advertising and events.
- Permission to use the Sing With Power Teacher Certification designation in your advertising
Level 1 - Certified Teacher Curriculum:
- 10 hours of personal instruction with Eric Bruner
- The Sing With Power Complete Vocal Training Program will be used as the primary material for the vocal technique studies, with a unique concentration on application to various vocal imbalances and vocal ranges
- A complete program on building, marketing and running your business
- Supplemental video material
- Observing you teach students
- Teaching the new student, overcoming student shyness in front of the teacher, what to do in the first lesson and laying out a plan
- 3 voice types and the exercises to overcome typical vocal imbalances inherent to those types
- Eliminating breaks and mastering tone and breath control
- Expanding, controlling and strengthening the vocal range
- Teaching vibrato to those who have an imbalanced vibrato or no vibrato
- Studio location, equipment setup, and growing your studio (advertising, marketing, etc.)
- Teaching multiple styles (even those styles you don’t personally like!)
- Verbal and written tests over the subject matter, just to be sure that you have a good grasp of the material
- And many other specific topics that are subcategories of the above subject categories
Sing With Power Teacher Certification
Level 2 Advanced Level Certified Teachers are established vocal instructors, having the tools to guide most singers away from common vocal “hang-ups”. They have a good understanding of how the technique is applied in a variety of musical styles. (Successful completion of Level 1 Certification required before beginning the Advanced Level program.)
Potential Income Rate / Range: $30,000 - $120,000 per year ($60-$80+ per hr teaching 10-40 hrs per week), but you aren't limited by these example hourly teaching rates.
Typical time to attain Advanced Level Certification: 16-24 weeks (Successful completion of Level 1 Certification required before beginning the Level program.) Want to move faster? Ask Eric how!

Level 2 Certified Teacher Program costs the same as taking about 5 hours of private instruction with Eric, and you’ll receive 5 hours of private instruction, along with an additional lesson observation training hours.
Responsibilities to attain Level 2 Advanced Level Certified Teacher:
- You first successfully complete the Level 1 Certified Teacher Program.
- You complete 5 advanced level sessions of private instruction with Eric in learning and teaching this technique
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the program material through verbal assessment.
- You've taught at least 50 hrs of voice lessons (We'll help you with that)
- You've attained the required vocalizing ability
- You've had Eric Bruner observe you teach students
- You've watched an additional 4 hours of observing Eric teaching lessons (live or video).
Level 2 - Advanced Level Certified Teacher Benefits:
- Continued help in the expansion of your studio teaching schedule.
- Licensing rights for the Sing With Power Complete Vocal Training Program and other Sing With Power vocal training products, allowing you to provide it for your students at a discounted price.
- Access to ongoing student referrals via company contacts, Master Teacher personal appearances, and company advertising and events.
- Permission to use the Sing With Power Advanced Teacher Certification designation in your advertising.
Level 2 - Advanced Level Certified Teacher Curriculum:
- Both the Advanced and Professional Level Certifications focus on more advanced student vocal issue identification and resolution. These are very practical and experiential, real-world studies with current vocal students. Also, more in-depth vocal training issues such as dealing with vocal pathologies and unusual vocal conditions.
Level 2 - Advanced Level Certified Teacher Benefits:
- Can teach complete SWP approved vocal technique classes (and can be paid for teaching those classes)
- Licensing rights for the Sing With Power Complete Vocal Training Program and other Sing With Power vocal training products, allowing you to provide it for your students at a discounted price, and/or receive payment of as much as 100% of all training product sales that are generated through your studio, if you so choose.
- Access to ongoing student referrals via company contacts, Master Teacher personal appearances, and company advertising and events.
- Permission to use the Sing With Power Professional Teacher Certification designation in your advertising.

Sing With Power Teacher Certification
Level 3 - Professional Level Certified Teachers are experienced vocal instructors who are very adept at solving the vast majority of vocal issues, quickly and effectively. They are comfortable working with singers of all musical styles. They are also very comfortable working with group classes and seminar formats.
(Successful completion of Level 2 Advanced Certification required before beginning the Professional Level program.)
Potential Income Rate / Range: $60,000 - $160,000 per year ($80-$100+ per hr teaching 15-40 hrs per week), but you aren't limited by these example hourly teaching rates!*
Typical time to attain Professional Level Certification: 18-48 months. (Successful completion of Level 2 Advanced Certification required before beginning the Professional Level program.) Want to move faster? Ask Eric how!

- You first successfully complete both the Level 1 Certified Teacher and Level 2 Advanced Certified Teacher Programs.
- You complete 5 professional level sessions of private instruction with Eric in learning and teaching this technique.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the program material through verbal assessment.
- You've taught at least 150 hrs of voice lessons. (We'll help you with that)
- You've attained the required vocalizing ability
- You've had Eric Bruner observe you teach at least 12 different students.
- You've watched an additional 8 hours of observing Eric teaching lessons. (live or video).
Level 3 - Professional Level Certified Teacher Benefits:
- Can teach complete SWP approved vocal technique classes (and can be paid for teaching those classes)
- Licensing rights for the Sing With Power Complete Vocal Training Program and other Sing With Power vocal training products, allowing you to provide it for your students at a discounted price, and/or receive payment of as much as 100% of all training product sales that are generated through your studio, if you so choose.
