His Experience
Master teacher, Eric Bruner, has been teaching voice lessons for 30 years, specializing in vocal technique (how you use your voice when you sing) allowing singers to sing any style of music with the same comfortable, confident and effortless voice they use when simply speaking.
Eric was taught by, and made an associate teacher of, Seth Riggs 30 years ago. Seth's amazing teaching helped singers like Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban (first album only), Ray Charles, and a host of others racking up over 120 Grammy's, and it has guided Eric's approach to effective singer and teacher training ever since.
Originally from Detroit, Eric enjoyed being a "jack of all styles" singer/musician for over 15 years. He was a professional musician performing Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Gospel, Musical Theater, Commercial and Studio work, along with being very involved in Contemporary Christian music. While he very much loved to perform, Eric found himself drawn much more to the joy of teaching. Vocal instruction eventually became his primary passion, and so he has poured his time and energies into teaching singers to become, well… better singers!
As a teacher of voice lessons, Eric routinely works with professional and non-professional vocalists of all ages performing R&B, Gospel, Rock, Opera, Musical Theater, Jazz, Pop, Country, Rap, Tejano, Contemporary Christian and more.
Eric's students have worked with such stars as Celine Dion, Billy Joel, Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse, Shakira, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, J.Lo, Prince, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Paul Simon, Harry Connick Jr., Paula Abdul, and others who are signed to such labels as Sony, Capitol, MCA, High Street, Cash Money, Warner Brothers, and Atlantic Records.
His clients include record label recording artists and many students with solo and group CD projects to their credit. They regularly perform on national and international television and perform for live audiences of thousands. They are chosen for lead roles in movies, Broadway shows, musical theater and opera productions, perform in top bands, symphony choruses, movies, and do extensive commercial singing and speaking work.

Before Eric began teaching 30 years ago, he knew he wanted to give performers a powerful singing technique that could quickly be applied to every musical style, no matter their age or experience level. The techniques have been used to win 100's of Grammys because they produce an effortless, yet powerful sound.
All too often, many singers have vocal damage or chronic vocal fatigue facilitated by poor voice teaching. Many of these students come to Eric from other teaching studios with vocal polyps, nodules and pre-nodules, pre-hemorrhage and even vocal paralysis conditions. Eric has worked with the country's top laryngologists and vocal surgeons to help "reverse the effects" of students' chronic vocal problems by singing/speaking with an improved vocal technique.

Eric has encouraged many of his students over the years to become voice teachers themselves. His love for helping singers become great singers is also seen in his passion to help singers become great teachers if that is something they feel they want to pursue.
Just as he was inspired by his instrumental and voice teachers early on, he very much loves to inspire other performers to develop their skills to teach others to become better singers themselves. Singer students of his who had never really considered teaching before were soon loving a whole new aspect of music.
It was over 10 years ago that Eric envisioned developing a formal teacher certification program. The path that led to the current program began quite organically as Eric encouraged and trained interested students to become teachers. Just in the past several years he formalized program and continues to find ways to make it more impactful, accessible and ever-expanding.
The Sing With Power Voice Teacher Certification Program has taken off well beyond what Eric had even hoped, which has only doubled his gratitude as he feels he is fulfilling one of only a few purposes for his life.
